Honor will officially introduce the highly anticipated mid-range smartphone Honor 30S on March 30. During the same launch event, the company is also expected to introduce the entry-level smartphone known as the Honor Play 9A. The Honor 30S appeared on the popular smartphone benchmarking platform AnTuTu with some technical features prior to launch. Honor’s new phone appears to be above average for a mid-range phone at AnTuTu, scoring 375,270 points. AnTuTu revealed that the Honor 30S will have a screen resolution of 2,400 x 1080 pixels and is supported by Huawei’s new Kirin 820 processor. It is also stated that the smartphone will house the Mali-G27 graphics unit and will come with 8 GB of RAM. In addition, the device will have 128 GB of internal storage. Although it is stated that Honor 30S will work with Android 10 operating system, Google Mobile Services (GMS) will not be available on the phone. The smartphone will be supported by Huawei Mobile Services (HMS), which Huawei has developed to reduce its dependence on Google. With its Kirin 820 processor, the Honor 30S looks like a powerful mid-range smartphone on paper compared to its competitors. The recent Geekbench 4 performance tests revealed that the Kirin 820 is relatively stronger than the Kirin 980 and Snapdragon 855. In addition to its upgraded performance, the Kirin 820 supports both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes of devices. The Honor 30S is expected to be an affordable 5G phone that can compete with competitors like the Redmi K30 5G and Vivo S6 5G.
