He also predicts that the first MacBooks with an ARM processor would be launched between the fourth quarter of 2020 or the first quarter of 2021; while future iMacs would hit stores next year. The analyst also revealed to the website that these Apple devices would receive the new USB4 port standard in 2022. The change would allow transfer speeds of 40 Gbps with support for up to two 4k monitors or a 5k screen, connected with just one cable. According to Kuo, this solution would be provided by the Taiwanese company ASMedia Technology.
