Hong Kong-based smartphone maker OnePlus will announce the new flagship series OnePlus 8 at its online event on April 14. DisplayMate announced that OnePlus 8 has given A + rating to its screen and the device has won the ‘Best Smartphone Screen Award’ days before launch. Awarded with the highest score available on DisplayMate, OnePlus 8 has achieved the highest score in almost all key categories, including color accuracy, image contrast, screen brightness and screen reflection. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed in the previous statement that the OnePlus 8 series will come with AMOLED panels produced by Samsung Display. The phone, which has MEMC technology that prevents blur and distortion in moving images, is equipped with a 6.78-inch QHD + Super AMOLED display that supports 120Hz refresh rate. With a brightness of 1009 nits, the screen stands one step ahead of the Galaxy S20 Ultra display, which offers 995 nits.
