In tests, the Mavic Air 2 achieved a score of 6 out of 10 on the repairability scale, being easier to repair than most smartphones. Although it seems simple, drones are highly complex devices, and the feat of the DJI product is noteworthy. Their batteries are easily removed, and the entire structure is fixed with standard screws. Even so, some problems were found, such as the motor wires, welded very close to their ends, which can facilitate their rupture in situations of strong impact. It is worth remembering that DJI launched in early May the Matrice 300, the company’s new industrial drone. The device is quite robust, and is designed for extreme situations, such as aerial surveillance by the police or searches in places close to fires by firefighters. The Matrice is capable of reaching 15km of distance, with an autonomy of 55 minutes of flight, being possible to keep a briefcase with up to 8 batteries prepared for quick replacement, done without the need to turn it off. The device is expected to be available sometime in the second half of 2020.
