IGTV, which allows users to shoot longer videos in vertical format, could be used both from its own application and from within Instagram. As of today, giving IGTV full independence, Instagram removed the IGTV button located in the upper right corner of the main platform. Users could switch to the video sharing service from Instagram via the button in question. The button, which allows IGTV videos to be watched without an application, served as a shortcut for browsing the content in IGTV. However, the fact that the button in question received less attention than expected pushed Instagram to make a change in this regard. Of course, another underlying reason may be to provide more downloads of the IGTV application. Instagram removed the IGTV icon in the top right corner of the app A Facebook spokesperson who made explanations on the subject said, “In the Instagram application, we click the IGTV icon in the upper right corner of the home screen very little … We always aim to keep Instagram as simple as possible. For this reason, we remove this button based on the feedback from our community. ” However, you can still find links to IGTV videos on certain videos on Instagram and the Explore tab; however, when you open the application from now on, you will not be able to see that big IGTV icon in the upper right corner. Maybe this button can be replaced by ‘Threads’, which allows you to share text, videos, photos and stories to your close friends. Who knows?
