IGTV, which allows users to shoot longer videos in vertical format, could be used both from its own application and from within Instagram. As of today, giving IGTV full independence, Instagram removed the IGTV button located in the upper right corner of the main platform. Users could switch to the video sharing service from Instagram via the button in question. The button, which allows IGTV videos to be watched without an application, served as a shortcut for browsing the content in IGTV. However, the fact that the button in question received less attention than expected pushed Instagram to make a change in this regard. Of course, another underlying reason may be to provide more downloads of the IGTV application.
