With its new feature called Art Transfer, Google Arts & Culture app turns your photos into art paintings in the style of famous artists such as van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, Edvard Munch or Leonardo da Vinci. The Art Transfer feature is supported by an algorithmic model created by Google AI. The new feature is not a simple feature or filter that combines two images. Art Transfer recreates your photo with a unique algorithm, inspired by your chosen art style. To use the new feature, you must select ‘Art Transfer’ from the Camera menu in the bottom bar of the Google Arts & Culture application. After taking or uploading a photo, you can choose the style of artwork you want and apply it to the image. For more customization, you can apply the art style to any part of the photo using the scissors icon. The search giant has worked with cultural institutions from around the world, such as the National Gallery from the UK and the MOA Art Museum from Japan for the new feature of Google Arts & Culture. Thus, a nice feature that combines art and technology has emerged. You can download the Google Arts & Culture app to your iOS and Android devices to try Art Transfer.
