Streets of Rage, the Arcade game of the 90s, is back. Developers Dotemu, Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games have announced that Streets of Rage 4 will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC on April 30. Streets of Rage 4 will also bring characters and content from the series’ previous games. Dotemu also released a new trailer from Streets of Rage 2 and 3 that shows that “Battle Mode” will return. Battle Mode has eight arenas and can be played in single or team modes. Streets of Rage 4 brings back the iconic characters and art style of the series In Streets of Rage 4, the iconic characters of the series will also return. Classic characters like Axel, Blaze, Skate, Max and Adam will be accompanied by new characters such as Flloyd Iraia and Cherry Hunter. Also, new moves and music will make wars more exciting. Heroes will offer a nostalgic experience with hand-drawn environments and their own retro sound effects. In the published trailer, 16-bit character models appear to have much sharper, shaded and modern graphics. It is also seen that 1v1 and 2v2 team battles are performed with various scenes in Battle Mode. Characters can be played with both refurbished and pixelated versions, and there are a total of 12 special scenes. Limited Run Games also announced that Streets of Rage 4 will release limited-edition special physical versions for PlayStation 4 and Switch.
