Before the CES 2020 fair, the trumps of the producers started to show up. Samsung offers player products under the Odyssey brand and brings two ambitious player monitors to the fair. Odyssey G9 Characteristics The Odyssey G9 player monitor has a resolution of 5120×1440 pixels on a 49-inch QLED panel. The 32: 9 ultra-wide aspect ratio and matching white design will attract players’ attention. At the back there is LED lighting with 5 effects and a choice of 52 colors. With the HDR1000 certification, the brightness of the monitor can be increased to 1000 nits. With a 1000R arc diameter, the Odyssey G9 player monitor offers TÜV Rheinland certification for 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time and eye comfort. G-Sync and FreeSync 2 support are also available. The first player monitor to combine all these features will be the Odyssey G9. Odyssey G7 Characteristics The Odyssey G7 is available in either 27 or 32 inches. The resolution of 2560X1440 pixels matches the 16: 9 aspect ratio. With the HDR600 standard, brightness can reach up to 600 nits. The back is also black-themed and the lighting system offers slightly less profile. In addition, the QLED panel, refresh rate, response time, all the same features as the Odyssey G9. Both monitors will have a price detail at CES 2020.
