According to information from the American news channel CNBC, two employees of the US technology giant Microsoft have been diagnosed with a new type of corona virus COVID-19. It is stated that both employees reside in the Puget Sound district in Washington state. It is stated that one of the employees works on Microsoft’s main campus and the other is working remotely for LinkedIn, the professional business network platform under the roof of the company. CNBC shared the information that both Microsoft employees who had positive tests were quarantined. A LinkedIn spokesperson, who made explanations on the subject, said that the LinkedIn employee who had the corona virus had no physical contact with other employees. Stating that there is no risk for employees on LinkedIn, the spokesperson said, “We are doing everything we can to restore our colleague’s health. We continue to work closely with public health officials globally and continue to keep the health and safety of our employees, customers and partners as our top priority. ” Bloomberg reported that one of the employees diagnosed with COVID-19 worked on Microsoft’s main campus and had close contact with some employees. The U.S. company wanted employees in some offices to work from home to prevent further spread of the outbreak. Similarly, social media giant Twitter had to make it compulsory to work from home in Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea.
